Tuf Line XP is not just another fishing line.
In order to achieve the full benefits of this line it
must be used differently than a monofilament line. In an attempt to
further extend your knowledge of braided "super lines", Western
Filaments has compiled the following fishing tips to use when fishing with
TUF LINE XP.
1.) Well tied double loop knots such as the Palomar or
Double Uni Knot are required to avoid significant strength loss.
2.) Tuf Line XP can be used on both spinning and
conventional reels. When spooling the line, wind it very tightly onto your
reel. Dacron Fishing line is the best material for backing, although
monofilament can also be used to prevent slippage.
3.) We retrieving the line after casting, be sure that it
is wound onto the spool evenly and tight.
4.) Due to the lack of stretch, setting the hook requires
only a small amount of force.
5.) After continued use, watch for fraying close to the
hook. All lines wear and this is an indicator to cut and retie.
6.) A sharp knife or scissors are required for cutting the
line. DO NOT attempt to break the line with you hands.
